Product design leadership

I run UX as a business unit.

For 13 years across insurance and entertainment, I've turned customer insight into experiences that move the numbers. Research-driven, revenue-accountable, and building AI into how design gets done.

Currently Associate Director of User Experience, leading AI adoption in the design pipeline.

Online point-of-sale transformation

Problem

An outdated point-of-sale system that closes 500,000+ policies a year was leaking conversions and couldn't adapt to the business.

Approach

A 24-month rebuild: four research rounds with 122 users, competitive analysis, MVP-first scoping, a token-based atomic design system, and proactive UAT alongside engineering.

Self-service web redesign

Problem

A dated account experience created confusion that surfaced as customer-service calls, and buried the actions customers actually came to do.

Approach

Research-led information architecture, preference tests, card sorts, and tree tests with 30 participants in three weeks, shipped across three releases.

Roadside enrollment optimization

Problem

A sought-after, non-risk revenue add sat below 10% enrollment, buried inside the coverage section where customers missed it.

Approach

Moved the enrollment decision out of the coverage section into its own clear, well-timed moment in the flow.

Monetization space saver

Problem

On mobile, the comparison offers we monetize weren't visible, wasting the most valuable space on the quote page.

Approach

Reworked the information hierarchy and applied progressive disclosure to non-critical detail, giving the customer choice without the clutter.

How I work

Design as a P&L lever, not a paint job.

I lead like a player-coach: I set the craft bar and run critique, and I stay hands-on with the hardest problems. I start from the business need, prove direction with research, and hold the line on quality through delivery.

I treat AI as an expansion of a strategy-led team, not a replacement for it. I build LLM, generative, and agentic tooling into the design pipeline, and the hard part isn't the tools, it's the judgment. When any question can be asked, the work is knowing which to ask, and telling a right answer from a convincing wrong one.
